Handmade Washcloth Pattern or Handmade Dishcloth Pattern

The hand knitted washcloths pictured here are made from either Peaches & Creme yarn from Elmore Pisgah or Sugar & Cream yarn from Lily. They are made of soft 100% cotton yarn and are approximately 10in by 10in. They are great for the bath or in the kitchen as a dishcloth. Machine wash and dry.

Knitted Washcloth Pattern

You will need:
1 skein 100% cotton yarn (2 or 2.5oz)
1 pair no7 knitting needles

Cast on 45 stitches.
ROW 1 (wrong side): knit 1, *purl 1, knit 5; repeat from * across to last 2 stitches. Purl 1, knit 1.
ROW 2 (right side): knit across.
Repeat these 2 rows until piece is square (approx. 10"X10") ending with ROW 1.
Bind off.
